This 16-hour, instructor-level course focuses on teaching the fundamentals of handgun marksmanship with red-dot-equipped handguns. Special attention will be placed on transitioning more seasoned officers from iron sights to red dots along with a focus on moving target engagements. Each drill will aid instructors in preparing their students to utilize the red dot to its fullest potential under strenuous conditions.

Required Equipment:

Duty Handgun with Properly Mounted Red Dot Sight

Duty Belt with Red Dot Holster and Magazine Pouches for 2 Magazines

Minimum of Three (3) Magazines

1000 Rounds of Practice Ammunition

50 Rounds of Duty Ammunition

Brimmed Hat / Eye & Ear Protection

Weapon-Mounted Light and/or Handheld Flashlight
