All attendees must possess a Firearms Instructor Certificate from their state's POST organization, the FBI, the NRA, or equivalent prior to 1st day of the course. Certificate verification is required during course registration. No exceptions.

This course will include a comprehensive look at the applications of the modern law enforcement shotgun, including armorer-level considerations, pump versus semi-auto, shotgun sighting systems, and both lethal and less-lethal ammunition. A heavy emphasis will be placed on pump-action drills and shooting proficiency, since this platform is the most commonly issued to line-level personnel. Students are encouraged to bring their agency-issued less-lethal shotguns, as drills involving less-lethal will also be conducted. This course will include moving and aerial target engagements.

This two-day course is designed for civilians who want to move beyond basic firearms familiarity and build a solid foundation in handgun and carbine operation, safety, and marksmanship under dynamic, challenging range conditions. Course Description

4 Days- 40 Hours (5 Days - 40 Hours, Format Dependent)

This 40-hour course focuses on the basics of conducting a tracking operation for small to midsized agencies with limited resources. Students will learn the fundamentals of tracking and how to apply them to increase the tracking team's effectiveness. They will also participate in several hands-on exercises, including force-on-force and live-fire* exercises, that culminate in a full-scale strategic tracking exercise.

Students should be capable of moderate physical exertion in field conditions for at least six hours each day. Depending on class size and the terrain of the course location, students may walk approximately eight miles per day.

This course may be customized to better accommodate a specific unit or organization’s needs involving force-on-force and live fire scenarios. A condensed version of this course focusing on the fundamentals of tracking is also available by special request. This 2-day (16-hour) course draws from the instructor’s real-world experiences in planning, conducting, and documenting multiple covert entry operations. Covert entry techniques afford law enforcement officers a nondestructive method of entry when a destructive entry is unavailable. This course will provide the student with the basic knowledge to execute entry techniques, including:

-Legal considerations and use of covert entry techniques.

-Lock and key design and function.

-Lockpicking techniques for a variety of locks, ranging from common padlocks to residential and commercial locks.

-Bypass techniques and tools for residential and commercial doors and associated hardware.

-Key codes.

-Introduction to operational planning and target site surveillance.
