This 2-day (16-hour) course draws from the instructor’s real-world experiences in planning, conducting, and documenting multiple covert entry operations. Covert entry techniques afford law enforcement officers a nondestructive method of entry when a destructive entry is unavailable. This course will provide the student with the basic knowledge to execute entry techniques, including:
-Legal considerations and use of covert entry techniques.
-Lock and key design and function.
-Lockpicking techniques for a variety of locks, ranging from common padlocks to residential and commercial locks.
-Bypass techniques and tools for residential and commercial doors and associated hardware.
-Key codes.
-Introduction to operational planning and target site surveillance.
