All attendees must possess a Firearms Instructor Certificate from their state's POST organization, the FBI, the NRA, or equivalent prior to 1st day of the course. Certificate verification is required during course registration. No exceptions.
This course will include a comprehensive look at the applications of the modern law enforcement shotgun, including armorer-level considerations, pump versus semi-auto, shotgun sighting systems, and both lethal and less-lethal ammunition. A heavy emphasis will be placed on pump-action drills and shooting proficiency, since this platform is the most commonly issued to line-level personnel. Students are encouraged to bring their agency-issued less-lethal shotguns, as drills involving less-lethal will also be conducted. This course will include moving and aerial target engagements.
